Current Weather
This page contains some information of weather over europe. I suggest you pay attention to the section named "The cloud over Italy". This section is extracted using the models studied by Michele de Rosa and applied to the Meteosat images.
Cloud cover over Italy
The rain pixels are signed with colors which range from blu (low rain rate) to red (high rain rate). The pixels in grayscale represent no rainy clouds. If you'd like to have a more detailed weather situation over Italy, you can download the kmz file, which can be opened with Google Earth.
